Couple of issues
« on: 20 April 2011, 09:15 »
1) Had a bit of a shock last night when I overtook a car, put my lights on main beam and then when I dipped them next.....nothing. I have an uprated loom on but this morning I tested the lights and they are working. What would cause an intermittent problem like this?

2) Also parked my car on a hill last night and when I came to start it (last night) it spluttered into life from cold and struggled to maintain an idle and would stop without a bit of throttle, same happened again this morning but the car was on the flat. Once the car has warmed up it holds an idle, It hasnt done this until now, car is a digi 8v.

Cheers

James

Headlights could be a faulty switch

Unable to help with '1' - sorry.

For '2' - have you replaced the blue temperature sensor lately/ever? - First thing to try. Search for more info. on blue temp sensor.

Cheers.

look for loose or broken wires on the uprated loom, depending on the quality of loom the connectors could be fubar, look particularly at the wires that connect to the stalk control high/low beam in the engine bay
