How many Kwik-Fit thread do we need before people never use them EVER again!? Sorry to hear about this, best of luck.

Those must be 17" alloys unless theyve been referbed already. Those are not Diamond cut finish, which the 18's are from new.

I was just about write that, are you sure they are 18s?

Then your alloys have already been refurbed

I've never had the alloys refurbed, not to say the previous owner didnt, but its unlikely to have all 4 done? right?

18 inch Monza's have a diamond cut finish, and are different to the 17 inch ones. Yours do look like the finish on the 17 inch alloys, so i suspect all have been re-coated, as it is difficult to refirb the 18 inch ones, to get the same finish.

sorry to hear this. kwik crap should have an account with a local refurb co, as I guess this happens all the time, theres no way they will pay for a new wheel and as others have pointed out a new one will come diamond cut and not painted and therefore not match the rest of the wheels anyway!

kick up a stink, if you aren't used to complaining just remember to try not to raise your voice and dont swear (I know its hard not to), just be really insistant.

I would say, if the mark was there before I brought the car in, why would I be stupid enough to waste my time and energy complaining?  If it was there beforehand, any reputatable company would of pointed it out and noted it on the paperwork to prevent comebacks!

good luck.

This happened to me with my pre  mk 5 gti, but I was wise to them, my monza 2's were unmarked and I took the manager round my wheels before they did the work and he certified they were perfect, when I went back boom a massive big scratch, they hadn't a leg to stand on, they had to cough up £465 for a new alloy although initially they did say only halfs but I went sod off

Cheers for the advice guys. They have accepted liability, and have told me to go and get the wheel refurbished, and they will pay for it.

Now I just need to find a respected wheel guy local to me! Follow up post on its way.

Say that you want: (add your requirement)

A) Them to arrage and pay for refurbishment
B) Repay the cost of refurbishment.

Give them 14 days to reply outherwise you will begin legal action.

Send copy of letter to:
