after talking to a couple members i fort i'd post the photos from the fitting of my new steering wheel
so hear goes
to start off
undo the two bolts in the back of the mk3 wkeel
remember to dis connect the battery to you dont get a air bag in your face lolunplug n remove air bag and you should be faced with this
remove the warning plate and unplug the horn and undo these three srews
the big nut holding the wheel on is a 24mm so make sure you've got a socket big enough
now the moddin starts
the three bits where the three srews you've just taken out fit into the mk3 wheel but not the mk4 wheel so what i did was drill out the back of the mk4 wheel holes so that the three bits sit in the wheel
the mk4 holes are a couple mms out so i put the mk4 on the spline, had a look how far out and then drilled the holes out so the srews would fit
once youve got all three srews in (i've only got two in and its all workin fine) put the big bolt back on(with the washer from the mk3 three wheel) and do up
this is the washer
do up and then turn the whell if it feels to tights then remove the wheel addrill the holes out further untill it feels right
the mk4 horn has a brown wire and a black wire and the mk3 only has a black wire. on the mk4 wheel you only need the brown one so remove the black one and then join the brown wire the the black wire from the car
then once oyu are happy that it feels smooth to turn and the horn workins then you can put the air bag in and admire
warning! if it feels too tight to turn do not drive it, mine was at first and fort it'l be okay jus to drive down the road, it wasnt and i brokthe the connection for the airbag, i hope that you learn from my mistake.
this is just what i done and is not a guide, mod at your own risk.
