G60 arch

Please can someone help? I'm trying to figure out if my car has standard gti front wings with g60 plastic arch extensions or if the actual metal arch is different? Bit confused!

Fronts are G60's but the rears look like GTI's.

If you get the off the car they will be stamped with G60 along with a part number on the back.

The G60 arches and wings are different, and the differences are:

G60 wings have the upper part of the arch cut back to accomodate wider wheels, along with slots at 10 and 2 o'clock as the plastic arch has 2 clips in it which help to attach it to the wing as there isn't any metal to rivet the arch to.

My old metal wings have been cut back so it's hard to tell. The plastic arches do have G60 on them so that answers that question! I am hoping the plastic arches will fit the genuine vw gti metal wings I have ordered!!! fun fun fun

they will, worst case you need to snap the tabs off the g60 arches lewy mentioned

Yes they will, but will need to be bonded on at the top as there is no holes to rivet it back on.

Alot of people go on about a bonding agent called 'tigerseal' being the best, but any decent motorfactors/paint suppliers will sell a perfectly adequate alternative.

mine were held on fine just using the rivet holes on the arches

There isn't anywhere to rivet between 10 and 2 o'clock though?
