mine were held on fine just using the rivet holes on the arches

The old ones were held on this way but they had been moving about a bit and had caused a bit of rust. I'm hoping to fix them on with something like tigerseal so cheers for that Lewy! As always, cheers for the input! Gonna pop down the bodyshop tomorrow and see how it going.

As I have mentioned previously on numerous threads before, Tiger seal, or any PU sealer is NOT the correct product to hold this sort of thing to bodywork, It can take ages to set, meaning that the part being bonded has to be gripped, taped, wedged, whatever into place, for usually many hours before it can be put into service... Parts can also drop off without warning!
The correct product costs about the same, maybe a little more, and is Windscreen bonding adhesives, 7 or 8 blobs around a wheelarch, then pushed gently into position, and secured with a couple of bits of masking tape, for an hour or so, will see the job done properly, and permanently

There isn't anywhere to rivet between 10 and 2 o'clock though?

yeah i know, but as i say mine were held on fine just using the holes that were there :)
main thing is to get the right rivets, most common rivet sizes are too small or dont have a large enough head on them, believe me I know!  proper ones have a huge flat head so hold them on much better.

Cheers for the info thom89!  Fitted up the plastic G60 arch to the new wings the other day, thankfully they fit up ok. I am a bit concerned as there is a huge gap between the underside of the previously cut back plastic and the new metal wing. I really want to stick with the G60 arches but I can see the gap filling with crap from the road and then the wings aren't gonna last to long. I did wonder about maybe cutting up a pair of GTi arches and grafting them on to fill the gap?

Nah don't worry about that. Heavily underseal the lip of the wing, and go up onto the wing behind the arch in the gap. Colour code it after if you have to!!! Mines had the gap there 5 years on a hammered back undersealed arch and its fine.

Wonderful news, I was starting to think that I'd have to go back to the standard GTi arch extensions! Thanks for the input
