It's another CARBON FIBRE WRAP - The Diffuser pics, at last!

Firstly this was a nightmare to do and I wouldn't recommend anyone tried it at least without a lot of material.time and patience. I naively hoped to do this item in ONE :grin: :cry: but ended doing it in Five pieces which require joins and overlaps :sick:
There are so many oblique angles going on around the fins and exhaust curves also unlike alloy metal (which you can shrink to shape) this you crimp or cut as in upholstery :rolleyes: It stretches just fine but don't shrink.

I'd like to thank my wife at this time ( a mean upholsterer!!) for holding the heat gun and preventing me at times from binning it! We give the job a 7 out of 10. Give me another and I'll make it a solid 8, now I know what I'm doing :wink:

Still way better than the standard factory crap, don't you think? :cool:

Have fitted this stuff to mine before, works well, but the only issue is, if stretched (heated), it will shink back.

As long as its not heated and stretched, it will be fine. I wrapped my wing mirrors in this stuff by professionals at a vehical wraps specialists twice, and binned it after that.

I had my front splitter, rear diffuser, front area (around reg plate) with no issues, as that wasnt heated and stretched.
