We have an rline dsg demo car and it is very bouncy driving round. The match is the car to get and what everyone wants as spec is great and ridiculous resale value.

I was told you cant get a diesel 170 tig dsg ?? :undecided:

The R line is a bit firm so i'm told , but ive never driven an R line Tig what do people think ?  :undecided:

As previous.
I'm considering one...similar to a ACC GTI in comfort...firm, but not overly so.
I like them...I'd rather pay the extra over a Kuga.

I think Asker is having another one of those "moments"

I have a Tig R Line DSG and it's a great alround car, nothing like some of the opinions I have read here. Also it's based on a Golf (not a renualt) and shares a lot of the suspension with the Passat. I much prefer using the Tig in London than the GTI.

However I would say buy the Mk6 GTI 5 door instead (but that's only because I want to sell mine  )

You can't.
140 DSG, 140 Man, or 170 Man, all 4x4.

Steve: Don't get the Tiguan unless you want to drive a balmange. I drove one and hated it. You don't need to drive a hearse just because you've got a kid. Effing stupid car for London.

Sensible choice: 5 door GTD or slightly less sensible choice 5 door GTI.

Unless you want 4WD!!!

Utter horsesh!t!
From the man who drives his GTI in 'comfort' because the rest are too stiff!!

A Sport/R line Tig is little softer than a GTI Golf...and better damped than a GTI in comfort!
I took one along some back roads to find out...they drive like any non-GTI Mk6.

As for the size...it's no bigger than a Golf...20mm or so in any direction except height...so hardly huge.

Sound advice Glen :afro:

I have driven a couple of Tiguan's I think they are really nice, if I ever had the money I would buy one.

You and I both know that Steve...
Common platform to the Mk5/Mk6 Golf/Passat...same Haldex 4x4 system. ETKA tells you what's common...dash = Golf Plus, suspension a mix and match, as you say.

Tig R-Line is a nice car...not cheap if you hit the extras (£37k I get to), but a good car that drives like a Mk5/Mk6 golf.
