Design wise, it's a bit messy how the designer has finished the bottom left door and I'd have offset the Golf to lose the GTD grille badge or move it so you can see 'GTD'. Otherwise, it feels like the designer hasn't thought about the flow of the design at the back.

It's all good, thank younand your advice is much appreciated

It's my fault that the rear door looks a mess, I came up the idea, then got carried away with gettin the vans VW badge used as the cars grill badge

No worries, hope it turns out well. Post up some pictures when it's ready to go.

5. Why have the address on the van? If people want to find you, they can go to the website or pick up the phone. Nobody is ever going to write down an address off a van but they might take a phone number or url.
There is a good reason for that imo.
Why because pikeys don't have a fixed buisness address but they have professional sign written vans

Yeah, that's obvious but Doc is stating that he is established and it just takes saying 'workshop/mobile service' versus stating a 20 line long industrial estate address on a vehicle to make the same point. It's the subtle persuaders, you don't have to be overt. Established x years, workshop/mobile service, high end marques = credibility.

I pretty much doubt that anyone who has a high end vehicle is not going to do their homework before letting anyone loose on an expensive vehicle.
Theres alot of stupid people out there, who cannot think, and would allow. I know i work with alot of them

I like it.
Eyecatching without being over-bearing.
Plenty of info on there for people to read when they see it parked up
Easy enough to to the main details off the van when it's on the move.

Nice sensible steel wheels that won't get kerbed!!!

My decision not to buy them at point of order was not borne of cost but in justifying the extra expense considered the car is driven in London 90% of the time so you never really get the full benefit. However, I prefer the look of them and I'm getting out of London more and more. They actually cost less than factory fit, admittedly, it's not like for like as I have not put the AFS controller in. It's £127 so I'd come out about £220 less than factory specified excl washers.

Ok, ok big boy, lighten up. You don't have to justify yourself to me. I quite understand that it is nice to try a new toy in the right environment.

BTW: We should meet up for a drink at least, soon. SMS is best.

Oh, I'm very illuminated thanks.  I reckon VW would do better offering the Xenons without cornering/levelling as standard and then offer the adaptive cornering as an 'extra'. It was a bit of a hassle putting the whole lot together and getting the parts list which I probably couldn't have done as easily if it wasn't for the good folks of this forum. Quite satisfying to actually undertake a decent mod on the car.

My top tip for anyone trying it - plastic clay modelling tools from Cowling & Wilcox. They have sculpted and tapered tips which are perfect for prising plastic trim off.

Actually, I'll stop there, I think we just took this far off topic Asker.....

Off topic again. Doc thinks Wolfgang will need open heart surgery for a re-map.

You would also need the 2 AFS power modules@£130 each, self leveller@£120 and the wiring loom@£80 so works out at about another £600
