For those saying it's near A3 prices, wait till the new A3 arrives, you can bet it will come with a new higher price.

Nick

Exactly, have you seen how much they want to for one of those little A2 things

Someone has to buy them...or there would be no used ones for others to buy.

All new cars are expensive. Just face it.
Used cars are worth bugger all. Just face that too.
If you want one, and can afford it...buy it.
If you don't or can't...don't.
It'll not stop me...that's why I drag my arse out of bed in the morning and go to work.

My GTI would cost £33k at todays prices...would it stop me buying it?
No.
I'll still order new and put all the options on that I want...and if I can't afford to change the car, I'll stick to the one I've got.

Oh of course, you got the money then fill you boots. Someone somewhere has to pay over the odds so I can save a few grand buying a year old one. What would I do without them ;)

Exactly...

Where would the used car buyers be without new buyers?

Personally, I'm happy to pay 'a few grand' more and have an un-abused car in the spec I want.
Each to their own though.

Reducing my Golf count by the week....
..but gaining motorcycles.

Id wait to see what VW UK have to say first though. The standard GTI in some countries (Dubai) comes with xenons as standard. VW UK dont miss a trick when it comes to making more money.
