No, the Cupra R is DSG free. Which is a shame as it would be awesome.

My dealer supplier sent me a flyer through today, but said he didn't have any prices yet.

If it comes to anywhere over 30K though, then I don't think I'll be getting a VW or GTi.

For those saying it's near A3 prices, wait till the new A3 arrives, you can bet it will come with a new higher price.

Well, my lousy mpg figures have shoved a cracker up my pert petrol bottom. As I don't do much mileage and being the proud owner of a Freedom Pass and with no mortgage, I don't really feel the pinch as much as some of you young Turks with all the mod cons of modern living.
However, I refuse to pay out £30k+ for a fast VW. It's plain daft.
Maybe VW want the VW brand to be now considered a Premium Product. I say, get the kcuf off to them.
What happened to benevolent Capitalism or Socialism, eh?
'Ve have vays and means to be ze biggest and ze greediest', is their motto.
VW: You are the people's car so don't sh!t on your Audi parade. But then, I suppose, if upstart Skoda can do it to VW, why not VW to Audi?
Maybe I am getting a bit confused and need to go outside and lick Wolfgang's pipes before it gets too dark ... Bottoms up!
As for the Ed35 ... Naff off ...

Correct!
It'll be dearer, have a more bling interior and be far worse to drive.
Typical Audi.

All new cars are overpriced, its a mugs game buying a car new imo.

Someone has to buy them...or there would be no used ones for others to buy.

All new cars are expensive. Just face it.
Used cars are worth bugger all. Just face that too.
If you want one, and can afford it...buy it.
If you don't or can't...don't.
It'll not stop me...that's why I drag my arse out of bed in the morning and go to work.

My GTI would cost £33k at todays prices...would it stop me buying it?
No.
I'll still order new and put all the options on that I want...and if I can't afford to change the car, I'll stick to the one I've got.

I wonder when the best time is to chop and change the GTI is? Mine will probably have 50K on the clock by the time I sell it in 2.5 years when the finance is completly paid. I suppose that will be considered a reasonable millage for a four year old car. One things for sure I will keep it mint. Best car I've ever owned and hope I can afford one again. Maybe I'll end up with a nearly new ED35 as a replacement.
