It does'nt matter where you put the vaccum pipe as neither place is accurate as the boost is controlled electronically.  To get an accurate reading you will need a digital boost gauge which wires in to the ecu.
To get the pipe through to the engine compartment, remove the scuttle panel, remove the wiper mechanism and there is a small plastic cover undo this and it you can put the hose through here, just feed it through and if you take the fuse box cover off  you will see the hose poking through.  voila.  I did have a guide with pics on how to do it, but i cant find it sorry

we aren't talking about controlling the boost, just reading it.  The line for the FPR is right off of the manifold which is the pressure you want to be reading.  As long as you have an accurate guage it will give you the info you need.

thats what i meant, a vaccum gauge wont give the correct boost pressure reading, an electronic 1 will.
That said, I have a vaccum gauge in mine, as they are cheaper and they are only out by a tiny amount.
They look cool as f!@k anyway, so whats a few psi between friends

what is that an electronic gauge?

digital display and it wires in to the ecu so it gets a true reading.
