Starter motor

Does anybody know if i can put a Starter Motor from a post 90 spec 8v on a pre 90 spec 8v? mines is a 86 model. Cheers

Yes should be fine, 8v is different to 16v I believe however.

86 is a k-jet most likely, and if so you must use a k-jet starter to replace it otherwise the 5th injector wont work.  mk2 8v k-jet or 16v will be fine, the way to tell is to check the spade terminal connections on the starter, k-jet ones have 2
