xenon high beam problem

ive recently bought a golfmk6 tsi

its had a golf r replica kit put on .

which included the oem xenons and dlrs

when i switch car on i get light errors , rear/front  foglights and main beam not workin although they do

the only thing that doesnt work is the high beam on my lights

it seems like a electrical prob or mayb they have hooked up lights wrong.

can anyone shed light on this issue

Was it the one on eBay by any chance? Black one?
Wait for the Doc the reply, he's wired his own lights up and there are modifications required to the headlights to get full beam working.
Your other bulb warnings will be due to the LED rear lights they've put on, you'll need someone with vcds to code them for you

It will be the BCM, you need one ending in part number 087 D or E for it to be able to support the Xenon shutters. The other versions do not have the pins connected in connector C for this.

With the parts I have left from the conversation I was working on for my Tiguan and as part of putting mine back to standard ready for chopping it in a month or so I am going to have a large number of the parts available for this conversion, I would rather these go to a forum member and hopefully we can put together a good how to guide for others 

The bits I have are: -

2 x LED Xenon Headlights (UK RHD Spec)
2 x OEM Bulbs D1S Bulbs
2 x Bulb Retaining rings
2 x Hella D1S Ballasts
1 x Kufatec 12-14pin Halogen to Xenon Adapters
1 x AFS (357 C controller)
1 x BCM Controller (latest 87E Z0K version running 575 software)

So to complete for the same install as mike you will need the 2 x AFS Power Modules, Kufatec AFS Loom and the Self level sensor (about £200-£300 max depending on where you pruchase the bits from).

im am totally new to this , what on earth is a bcm

is there a step by step guide or should i jus take it to the dealers ,

what kinda money would they charge me to fix the shutter problems

Bcm= body control unit

No step by step guide

About £2500 if they could fix it at a guess

Yeah silly money! Theyve been fitted to a car that didn't originally come with them. Take it to the Doc, he'll sort you out

Take it back to where you got it and tell them it's not roadworthy. Then report them.
