Change Fuel Filter

Hi,

does anyone no how and where to change the fuel filter on MK3 Golf GTI 2.016v

I can't remember how to change it but jack the.rear.up and its on the dricers side next to the fuel tank. Should see it easy enough

It has I think it's two straps around it, they're on with a nut each iirc.

Then one line on each side, fit new jubilee clips around them  :smiley:


Oh and make sure you fit the filter in the right direction.

It's under the car and it's easy, even Shady could do it..

Yeah it's under the car. In front of the rear offside wheel, underneath where the passenger behind the driver would sit.

Don't forget to pull the fuse for the fuel pump and run the car untill it stops, this will release the pressure in the fuel system.  :smiley:

how long should it take me?  :shocked:

30 minutes max from start to finish for a beginner. It's an easy job.
