To be honest there is nothing wrong with the rings that is on it and they only did a few thousand miles apparently but im just mega anal and want it all to be the best it can be.

Also kindve might have possibly could be thinking about not maybe going with a supercharger and using another form of FI . :lipsrsealed:

Nothing wrong with being anal

Well in terms of wanting to be assured that when its all bolted together - it WILL work

Id say drive it, get bored of the power not the noise, then look into FI

Id go SG because you'll get good torque figures & turbo will be overkill (that so bad? lol)

Ah no im going FI regardless.I was deffo going s/c but im really getting swayed towards turboness now.If i get low comp pistons and use the forged bottom end im looking at big boost figures.

I dont very often sit on the fence regarding decisions with the car but im a little torn atm.

Yeah i do love the noise a s/c makes. However i know my way around turbos and i can get good results from them.I like the engineering side of it where as a s/c is just bolt on and go.I like more of a challenge lol.

Hmmmmm :undecided:

would not bother with SC.. Torque is PANTS

Turbo FTW All day loooong..

SC also saps too much engine power anyhow

Still undecided on the FI but progress has ensued on a few things regardless.
The blue thing has left the driveway now(thanks god) so i now have a few parts left but most of the good stuff has sold)

I was hoping to win some 9:1 Low comp pistons sunday night but ended up on a breakdown 5 mins before the end and got outbid by £4  :embarrassed:

So i spat my dummy out and decided i would make a start on my mock up short runner intake as i had a couple of hours of my 17 hour shift spare.
Bare in mind this is just off the cuff temp stuff so i can get measurements for the real deal.I will be using 6mm ally for the main plenum and then 10mm for the mani flange and the tb flange.

Thats all i managed to get done as one of the dickhead operators set some machinery on fire so i had to go put that out and then fix stuff. But i will crack on with it at home in the week.

Also took a couple of parts to clean up.
Heres the rear engine mount and the tensioner after a quick spruce up.Im thinking i may polish the rear mount. The tensioner needs a fair bit more work.

Thats it for now.The piston ring search continues though.....
