I am 99% sure the ECU controls them

Sounds daft but have you checked the relays? Could be hall sender also.

the power for the injectoers comes from ecu relay or fuel pump relay, depending on the age of it (where is your hazard switch?)

the earth feed for them is from the ecu.  does the fuel pump prime? if so check with your multimeter from the red wire to the battery when the pump is priming

ok, fuel injectors are controlled by the ecu relay, is it still there? its a 53 relay in slot 1. try swapping it for another one if its there, you should have another 53 relay for the horns.

if that doesnt help look in your scuttle tray, there are a couple 2 pin plugs where the interior loom plugs into the ECU loom, they are prone to corrosion as they are not waterproof.

Might be worth testing the fuel pressure as well.
