Hidden Headunit?
« on: 01 March 2011, 15:16 »
Ive been thinking about putting either the original tape deck or a blanker plate in place of my current headunit for the OEM/Simple look.

I only really want to play music from my iPhone or other mp3 device. So im wondering if there would be anyway of fitting a head unit else where in the car (in the boot or under a seat or something) that is either bluetooth enabled and/or has an AUX in I can run a cable from to somewhere concealed on the dash or similar.

Anyone got any ideas or has anyone done anything similar?

Cheers

You can buy a small amp and connect your iPod via a RCA cable from the headphone socket.

How about modifying your glove box to fit the cd player in?

I did that on my Vectra, left the old wiring sticking out the dash as a dummy loom.
