They start off high but they soon come down money talks you can always make offers the worst they will say is no ill keep an eye out if I see anymore.

Keep looking.

I got an 8v GTI on the R plate with tax and ticket for £427.

All it needed was some door trim and new vacuum hoses and was good as new.

You will be able to get something decent for £500 without worries.

Take a look at my opening thread to see what I picked up for that cash.

Not a big fan on the bright leather door trims and gator some decent bargain ones around though so

I wasn't a fan when I first saw, but the yellow and blue ones I have fallen for.  I suspect they may hold their value a bit better than a normal 8v...

Looking at a nice red Colour concept at the moment will see this Sunday 585 mot till 06-11 no mention of history on advert will try bump down and it's 3 door :D

Have a good read through the Mk3 maintenance section some good info in there what to look for.If its a genuine Anniversary it should say it on the log book aswell.

That gaitors should't be red...they should be black with red stitching..same with the steering wheel.

Should have the following:
Red bumper strips
Red Seat belts
Red and black chequered GTi seats
Black with red stiching gaitors and steering wheel
Anni mats?
