Ive just finished smoothing the tailgate,removing side repeater holes and aerial hole and ive plastic welding a MK4 Golf numberplate recess into the back bumper.
Wing mirrors is my next step,i dont want standard ones,i did look at the mk3.5 stubby ones and they looked into getting a LHD drivers side stubby for the other side to match,but its been done quite a lot.
Cue me looking at every single car i walk past looking at mirrors that i can modify to fit the mk3.
As for having side repeaters for the MOT,well my brother is an MOT tester and does all my work,but he said he would have to fail me for having no side repeaters,so im just going to run a couple of wires from the existing wiring and stick some hideous flashing lights on the wing mirrors(whatever ones i decide on) and take them off as soon as i leave.
All in the hope i dont get stopped more than once otherwise i will just get some us spec side repeaters and pop them in the bumper.
Liking the look of Scirroco R mirrors atm
