Wing mirrors????

Hi I want to smooth the front wings on my mk3 and remove the side indicators. Has any replaced the standard wing mirrors with preferably a non aftermarket wing mirror that includes a side indicator as found on the mk6?? I think. If so please share with pics if poss...

I think the standard mirrors are better, don't think aftermarket ones look good on a mk3.

Do you still need side indicators then if the holes have been welded up.

If anyone knows if side repeaters are a legal requirement??

Side repeaters are required for the MOT on a mk3. There is a cut off year where they aren't needed but i know the mk3 isn't old enough to fall into this catergory.

But then once again it's down to your MOT testers discretion i guess, whether you'd be fully legal is a different matter.

Check out cult society for fancy mirrors (i'm unsure they have side repeaters) but few com panies sell any after market proper fitting mk3 mirrors
(or you could go max power and get universal fit m3 stylee!)

If you can get a VW set then it may not look too bad.  If you're a dab hand you could make your own???  It would mean cutting a wing mirror up, fitting glass and wiring in a bulb.  But you'd risk it looking crap.  Again, it'd have to look like it came out of the factory for it to look any good.
