Thanks, i'm using halfords touch up paints with the needle tips to do lettering .

Cleaned up the valves and fitted new oil seals and tappets, then fitted manifolds and injectors.

I just unscrewed it and pulled it off.

If your doing it whilst it's in place, remember to fish out the retaining grommet. :smiley:

I un-screwed it and gave it a pull and all i heard was crack  :embarassed:

oh well will have a detailed inspection (one day)

There was a rubber breather hose attached which goes through the hole in the rocker cover.

Bought a stainless back box as original is a bit rusty and it cost less than a pair of tail trims  :smiley:
refitted the head just got to get the cambelt done now, then oil and coolant and it should be able to move again under it's own power.
