Yepp. But if you don't trust him enough to buy are yougoing to trust him when he says he's had them tested and xrayed for defects and inspected welds ect.

Fair point :afro: I guess the only way to be sure is if and when they get TUV approval

TBH it's no more risky then buying a set of reps off eBay, in fact I would say less so as some of the reps out there are made of really shyte alloy and crack really easily.

They look really good.... I would risk these more than I would cheap alloys.. steel construction cant be as bad as bad alloy casting?

steel is very easy to work and weld predictably and to a standard that is more than sufficent for a wheel TBH.

if they were alloys i woudl be a lot more suspictious  as there are a lot of really really sh!t aluminium alloys that come out of china,  usally of a completly random composition made of recast sh!t.   ally is a lot less forgiveing and recast amalgum alloys can have serious contamination issues and sketchy propoties resulting in metalfatiuge setting in rapidly
all the VW's have gone bar 1.

The chrome is tested to 500 hours salt water washing to ensure they dont corrode too easilly. They are currently DOT certified and in the near future we will apply for TUV approval too. However they are fully certified for UK.

Sounds like they've already been tested on a Mk3

Running them on a Mk3 is probably a better test than the 500 hours statement.
