on the made in china comment...thats where a large part of the worlds steel comes from so i dont see too much of a problem with the quality of it!

Dan as I said earlier it is not the quality of the steel but the making of them, labour is really cheap and they tend to cut corners.

got u now Wayne yes as i said earlier quality certs for production etc and if they comply with european legislation would be a must to see! if you get pulled by keen mr plod you need to be able to cover yourself and prove they are for highway use!

it not a new wheel manufacturer, it's a new garden shed inport bussness.

TBH  as long as the steel they started with is ok you'd actualy be hardpushed to f**kup makeing a wheel.  the welds are sbout the last thing id be worryed about.  bet  the chrome plateing is sh!t tho

I'm pretty certain this bloke was on a mk2 forum ages ago (before it crashed  ) And he had 1 set of prototypes that he used on his golf, which is the one pictured in the profile.
I love em, and if I had the money right now I'd buy them.
Gotta start somewhere!

Just a thought, if someone was thinking about getting some why not buy a set and take them to a wheel specialist and have them check out the welds, the quality of the metal, xray them to make sure there's no cracks or defects ect.

Not sure how easy it is to check if its a naff wheel but its proberbly possible if you had the right equipment and know how ect?

The supplier should be doing that as least it would ease peoples worries.

Yepp. But if you don't trust him enough to buy are yougoing to trust him when he says he's had them tested and xrayed for defects and inspected welds ect.
