Stupid question.
« on: 14 February 2011, 14:21 »
Sorry guys, just wandering.... rather then getting it done proffesionally, i'll get a mate too look anyways.

But is there a lead coming from the lights switch, I need too split the wire so I can plug it into my head unit, because it has too different visual settings, one for day, and one for night. So will switch when I turn my lights on  how awesome lol!!!

Should all work out via the loom

When I fitted my headunit, it would dim when I switched the lights on without having to mess about with the loom

look in the loom on the car in the power plug there will or should be a thin grey/blue wire this is the illumination wire
if its there then just plug your stereo in and away you go
if your stereo has a seperate lead for the illumination you just need to join it to the wire i mentioned above
most branded stereos have it in the iso plug and it will be an orange wire

And where do I find this lead lol???

Also, the standard lead we have for the ariel is like a stubby one so not long enough too go into the reciever in the head unit, is it best too just put a new connector on the end guys?

Duno if this helps or not lol............

Checked the leads last night, could see the thin blue/white lie its in a plastic adapter along with a brown one. There was'nt a place too fit the plastic clip thing in, it hard room in the old cd changer for it too clip in tho. Not sure what the ISO plug is mate lol
