When I went to start the car last night, it came up as "check oil leve!"l.  :embarassed:
Well I'm glad you know which light it is now. So you dipped it and its between the levels?

yes. did a oil top up last week. this occured just today  :undecided:

think I have had enough of the gti... nothing but problems  :angry: the whole idea behind buying a new car was so I wouldnt have these problems. :angry: :angry:

So how old is it as the pic is a Mk5 and you username is R32UK did you have one before?

Whats the mileage?

Do I detect a scratch along the rear bumper next to the offside reflector?

no. the raised part you are looking at fades into the bumper. it just seems to be catching the light slightly :cool:

An unloved GTI - what a shame. I think it was still jealous of the R32....
Mk7 GTI. DBP, DCC, Winter pack. Mine since new, July 2013.

Im not sure what your saying are you saying its used at least half a ltr of oil in a week, prob much more as it was enough to set off the oil pressure warning. :shocked:
