« on: 08 February 2011, 18:46 »
hi guys had a problem with my car starting so did a scan with vag com and it says  immobiliser blocking engine from starting ( pick up coil) so i eventually found the fault  . on the ignition barrel is a type of scanner that scans the key i presume then tells the immobiliser to let the engine start  . and this is snapped off ! so can i just got get anouther 1 of these from a breakers yard as its a 2 min job to fit ?. will it recognise my key tho as the scanner ( pick up coil ) is off anouther vw ? or do all the keys have a  code the scanner will know?.
