Crap radio reception
« on: 08 February 2011, 01:26 »
Any ideas on how to improve it?

I don't have a taxi driver antenna  It's a stubbly short-ish one (about 25cm long), I know it's not the best but I expect better reception from it.

Obviously antenna cable is plugged into head unit

Any more ideas?

Run a second aerial off the original one with a splitter and hide it beneth the scuttle panel or reroute the original cable to a widow mounted amplified aerial instead.

Fit an amp to the aerial, think GSF do one.
Maybe check the cable has no cuts or breaks etc. but that means a fiddly headliner job.

Is that what you call it  yeah if you put the radio on just before you connect the blue wire and you will hear the difference straight away.I think Halfords do them aswell but there silly money about £13 just check which type of connector you need for your radio as theres 2 types which im sure your aware of
