Pretty sure the one on ebay is the one I needed the other type of connector is ISO have a look at this other link and you will see the one you need once youve looked at the rear of your radio  :wink:

Looking at that I would say the common one for vw would be ISO to DIN bottom one.

 :grin: as I said just take the radio out and check the your system is DIN and then check the end of the arial out to make sure its that ISO connector if it is then yes thats the one but check dont want you blaming me if its wrong  :grin:

you can buy aerial boosters (amps) that keep your original aerial and only need a live feed (blue) and the aerial lead plugging in (and then connecting to the radio)

I listen to talk sport alot and my arial was pants but bought one of these signal amps and its perfect now get all the stations and there easy to fit.

I tried an aerial booster on my roof mounted aerial and it made no difference, may work on wing mount tho. My roof mount is so crap it works just the same not being plugged in at all. Any ideas why this is?

Mine works a treat and Its a big improvement are you wiring the blue wire up correctly ?Failing that what I had to do with my old VR was remove the lower part of the dash under the glove box passager side and trace the arial wire down and you should find a kind of plug joiner there mine on my old VR had been cut by its former owner god only knows why but I went the scrap yard found another one plugged it in  and it worked a treat worth a look anyway  :wink:
