Went to have a look at a 9A today,

http://autotrader.mobi/used-cars/advert/201144426069916/viewing-0/0?PHPSESSID=v2kpeeivjtars01hdq77qanks6

Took it for a drive, and was pretty unimpressed tbh. Felt really slow, absolutely zero torque! The 1.4 306 I'm driving ATM didn't feel any slower when I got back in! Gonna have to phone the insurance company again Monday and enquire about a VR now!  Starting to regret selling the golf.  :lipsrsealed::rolleyes: on the plus side, this one was reasonably clean (not mint like the ad says though!) and I do love the look of em. Would have needed a new sunroof mech, spoiler didn't work at speed, was a few faded parts where the machine obviously couldn't get too! And it didn't have a great deal of history and no history of last cambelt change. As usual, will update as and when.

After spending far too much money gettin pissed all w.end, and with loads still to come, as well as Xmas pressies still to get, my original budget has had to be amended. Only got a k now so won't be looking at a decent one. I have however found a kr not too far away for pittance! Needs a little bit of work, but my budget will allow for that as well as a few little mods. Going to have a look at the w.end as the fella works away during the week. I've got a few emails with some better pics from him, and as he's a local forum member and known by I guy I see regularly for parts, I'm pretty sure he's been very honest with me about everything. Will be moving to Portsmouth in may as I'm being promoted, but it's a 2 1/2 year course. Will move into a married quarter whilst there and rent my house, but obviously need cash to get all the checks done so it's suitable for rental. This also has an impact on how much I can blow on the car in the short term as well, so I'm just gonna get it looking respectable until I move. Then the decent mods can begin!
