I believe so yes, RJ could confirm 100% but I am sure only the 5 stud is different / wider.

Sweet, thanks Wayne :afro: want to convert to rear discs with the VR in but stick to 4x100 :)

The beam is the same just the stub axles that are different.

Ah so would just need to swap the stub axles off mine and it's a straight fit?

Nope I believe that mk2 Disc stub axles will bolt to your beam thus saving the hassle of changing it.

Ahh i see, would make life easier but i think i could save money by buying a full GTi beam and sort it all out while it's off the car and then do a straight swap one weekend so i don't have to worry about the bushes and everything, will have a look into it though thanks wayne!

if the estate uses the same beam as a mk3 hatchback then yeah straight swap.

4-5 stud disc stub axles, calipers and carriers all the same, just the discs that are different. later spec mk3 use better calipers without an external handbrake spring so use some of those if you can. for the cables you want MK3 GTI if going for rear discs :)
