flared arch vs plastic arch
« on: 05 February 2011, 17:52 »
Right had a look on archenemy and I need to flare them all round, not so much on the front though.
So can you stick the plastic arches back on if they are flared?

If it helps wheels are 16x8 et20 and 16x9 et21 so that will give you a idea on how much the arch need work.

Do u mean rolled arch mate? If so i dont see why u cant trim the plastic arch lip and stick them on, sikkaflex is best ive found, its windscreen sealer but dries hard as rock. If u mean flare the arches then it will prob mishape for the plastic trim unless u heat it to shape

Dont think you can slap the plastic trim back on if you "Flare" the arches
Although if you find out you only need to roll then you can slap em back on!

By the way the wheels are STUNNING!!

If you have them rolled they can be refitted however if you have them pulled / flared they will not refit.

Look better without them.

I think (but might be wrong) that if u flare them then clamp the plastic arch and heat it it in the right places it would work, not sure how it would match up with the door trims etc though. Just a thought mate

Thanks for the replies

Well I looked on archenemy and they had to put on a stubble flare on a mk3 with 16x9 et15 so hopefully I can get away with rolling as I'm 6mm closer in.

And I want cl/gl trim but can't get any  anyone want to sell me theirs?
Or if you find some I'll give you £10 on top of what you get them for.
