I would definately recommend going for an mp3 player, the main advantage is you can get about 10 albums onto 1 disk at a pretty good quality. Unless you are a real audiophile with a really expensive setup you are unlikely to notice the difference in quality between mp3 and cd. I bought an mp3 player a while back and was chuffed to bits with it, I also got a 62 cd wallet at the same time as I would never fill one that big. Unfortunately my mp3 player was nicked after 6weeks and I had to downgrade to a standard cd player. The cd wallet is now bulging and I have over 50disks that I can't fit in it!!!
Can't wait until I get another mp3 player.

You got any pics of your dad's split ?

Go for MP3, if not buy a semi-decent head-unit and an i-pod, and if you're going to buy one soon, I recommend these guys www.caraudiodirect.com. I bought my Alpine 9833 from them and it is aprrox ?200 cheaper than Halfrauds . I've bought stuff from these guys for years, and they are very competitive, and if you go onto their forum, it will give you loads of info.

Oh, and no I'm not on comission?

hey

? ? ? ? definitely go for mp3, there not much extra, and you get all the cd player benefits but a load of extra options on top!

and like lewy said, get one off the internet! halfrauds is an overpriced hole! still, i spose that is a cool thing with the ipod, you can connect them up to a head unit pretty easily, but, i still prefer my ipod killer ... cheaper, plays upto 20 movies!, same size as an ipod!, hooks upto my tv, and looks great (www.archos.com check out the gmini 400)... i seriously dont know why you guys bother!...
