168.8mph Road Angel.....Speedo showed 175mph in a Ferrari 348TS  (Hired it out in 2001 from Friday till Monday)

Was caught slowing at 137.9 for 1.1 miles. Had to go to court and was given a 6 month ban and $500 fine (pound sign does not work!)

122-5 ish mph im my current golf, topped it out at 120 before and thought it would not go faster? ha ha always a bit confused though as when i had my late mk2 8v it would do nearly 130? the one i have now has a tuned motor and the same box but struggles to go over 120!! dont understand and dont really care cause its still making me smile everytime i floor it! ha ha! :smiley:

Nothing over 110 but isle of wight roads are bit too bumpy to be doing that anyway

you want percieved speed try 50 mph in a 1956 morris minor with wooden brakes and about 3" slack on a 2' wide stearing wheel down a country lane, or anything over 70 in a proper - non plastic - beetle, outstanding handling and state of the art aerodynamics.
real speed is much better on bikes, 140 between roundabouts in milton keynes, through the traffic, feels like flying.

I can get more than that on the dual mate and its not bumpy, get a run up from the cinema and hope the lights stay green.
