Disconnected connector

Anyone know if this is meant to be connected to anything. :huh: :-







Just spotted it hanging down and nowhere obvious to connect it to :undecided:

It looks like one of those connector types that fit onto a water temp or maf sensor terminal..bit of a guess though from here, someone will know for sure.

Looks like the plug that plugs onto the hall sensor on the side of the dizzy.But i see you have a coilpack.So fluck knows :grin:

could be the electric coolant plug from the wire colours, but i dont know where it is on a vr6?

One of the coolant sensors?

They are at the front here and appear to be accounted for:-





This one shows the connector and the coolant sensors:-





The hall sensor for the dizzy sounds good as it is probably the same loom as a standard Mk3 but it does seem a bit gash and unvolkswagen like to simply leave it dangling :huh:

A case of find the nearest receptical and see if it does anything! :wink:

Could be the plug for the auxiliary / electric water pump as RJ said.

That's the problem, there isn't anything that I can see. I'm wondering if there is something buried under the shroud that I can't see :undecided:

Looks like it dont go very far so yes maybe there is something under there!

Ah.....the auxiliary water pump. I wonder if that has been removed :undecided:
I'll have to take a look in the manual and find out where it should be fitted.
