Could be the plug for the auxiliary / electric water pump as RJ said.

Ah.....the auxiliary water pump. I wonder if that has been removed :undecided:
I'll have to take a look in the manual and find out where it should be fitted.

Well with the cooling system troubles they may have removed it.

Connector looks right but I can't find a component location picture in the Bentley manual :sad:

If that plug is it then it has been removed and bypassed, might be worth getting a wiring diagram and seeing if that is the plug.

Ok, I think I have got to the bottom of the mystery thanks to your help.
It looks like the electric auxiliary pump has been removed:-

Just a bit more searching and that looks to be the plug.



I think that it runs when a certain temp is reached, might better to refit it if you can.
