hi yes i have used tiger seal loadsa times its great stuff.
i used it to stick the arches on my previous mk3 gti.
i had the front arches trimmed inside so i lost the screw holes for the plastic arches so tiger sealed them on.
even the mk3 golf gti boot spoiler was tiger sealed on.

iv done alot of fully bodykitted cars in my time and i have used tiger seal to stick side skirts and small bits on.

go for it mate.

Nice one, ive heard nothing but good stuff about it. Do you simply wack it on and leave it to dry? Any tips on how to apply? How long to leave it? Should i clamp it or hold it in place whilst it dries? Thanks mate

what i did was put pig blobs evenly spaced so when you push it on it spreads so you no you have good contact on both surfaces.

then tape it into place with a strong tape or clamp that wont damage your paint then leave it over night.
then in morning take off tape or clamp and job done mate.

oh by the way not sure if you want to do this but when i used it i would rub the area on car and what ever im putting on with a bit of sand paper to ruff it up for good key but this will bugger the paint there. but if its covered by wheel arch and u dont intend to take them off again it dont matter

How did you get on?

Once you open the tube will the whole lot set if you don't use it up asap? I only need to seal on one arch, but don't fancy buying a whole tube just for that if the rest is going to dry

Tiger seal or PU sealer to give it its correct name, is not actually the correct product for this type of thing, it is meant as a sealer for gaps on automotive body joints, to stop water penetrating into a spot welded seam, and the like. Another property it has that it can be painted over within an hour of application. Parts stuck on cars with Tiger seal, can literally just drop off without any warning! once the bond starts to deteriorate, it can be a very short time, before it fails completely, people that have used it, and had no problem, will still understandably swear by it, but trust me, its the wrong product for the job
The correct product for the job, and readily available for a similar price, is the adhesive used for bonding in windscreens, and its primer that is applied by a swab, http://www.waysideadhesives.com/Masterbond-1hr-Kit--7_prod.php
In most cases, this product can be used successfully without having to grip, or tape parts into place, just apply the primer to both surfaces, then apply the adhesive, push the part into place and job done, and back to driving the car in around an hour, rather than the best part of a day like you would with Tigerseal
