What age is the car it is has been installed in?

Quite a common thing is that if it is quite a new VW and has a quadlock connector (40pin iso) for audio intergration. then it will be more than likely that a wiring harnesses was used for an easy installation, these can sometimes be poorly made and once connected, the terminals can be pushed away from the pins causing an intermittant supply to the control unit - worth checking if so.

Also, if you're going to contact Parrot then ensure that the software on the Mki9200 and on the phone are the latest versions as manufacturers often unknowingly release these devices with bugs and this also often causes problems.

The parrot forums (through the official site) can be of help i have found, it has quite a few topics already discussd in detail, if you have the time to search that is.

hope this helps

I fit these kits almost every day at work and they are known for going wrong even brand new. Its usally the blue box that fails, also the power wires should match the car in, in terms of switched live and battery live, as some cars have these wired in reverse, meaning the kit doesnt always turn on or off! HTH!

Quick update guys....IT HAS STARTED WORKING AGAIN TODAY......May be it was it's time of the month lol
Never thought about checking the live feeds as it worked straight from the box, could that be why the radio does not switch off when the key is taken out of the ignition..???

I got a Parrot system in my work van its constantly going wrong. Some of the issues when connected to my phone via bluetooth, no audio can be heard through my speakers but yet i can still be heard on the recievers end (yet the parrot and my phone are still connected)..only recently am i getting the same problem as what you are having there doesnt seem to be any power going to the parrot on the first part of my journeys then all of a sudden it decides to fire up, maybe i get lucky and and it stays powerd on for a while then it switches its self off again.

Another issue the menus sometimes have no audio either when flicking through them it drives me insane. But look on the bright side atleast you have audio lol

I can only think that mine just wasnt installed properly. Keep us up to date with how your getting on maybe i'll be able to sort my issues out with mine lol.
