they sell kits on Ebay with the vinyl pre-cut to fit all the bits, but from what i can see it would still leave the crappy wood stuff on the passenger side interior door handle, can get it in carbon fibre, brushed aluminium look

i would check the sizes on ebay first to make sure its big enough
you need to make sure theres enough vinyl that you can pull and stretch it around the edges

plus i think its cheaper to buy it in sheets and then do it yourself
i paid 10 quid for 3 sheets on ebay and i have some left over
i did my ashtray and centre pieces

APA ftw, cheaper and better than 3M :)

The thing I dont like about the APA stuff, is the weave isn't straight. Over a roof it looks toss as its wavey, fine for little interior pieces though. I used it on my passat.
team grumpy....... its a way of life, not a forum post

Very nice, I've done the same, had to buy extra to get the weave the same way on the cup holder.
Only thing I ain't done is the ashtray, does the catch when you open and close it? And how do you remove it?

no mate doesn't catch at all
first pull the inside of your ashtray out so you can get to the screw underneath
then pull it towards you and remove the cable from the back of the fag lighter then it will all come out,
then i just stripped the ashtray. easy enough just needs unclipping

wow, that looks better than I expected, well done mate!!

So............is this the stuff you used?
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/3m-Carbon-Fibre-Wrap-vinyl-200mm-x-300mm-/180590506242?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item2a0c087102#ht_500wt_715

If so, how many sheets of say A4 did you use? I only want to do the cup holder, ashtray, stereo surround & front/rear badges

Thanks for your help mate
