(except for the 1" lowered springs).

I noticed a small gouge on my front bumper when I was cleaning it today that looks like its been used as a snow plough on some sharp ice.  Perhaps if I was 1" higher it might have missed it!
As its so low down and very hard to see I might get away with a dab from a touch up pen.

Thats the thing im not keen on with the newer golf on how low they are at the front. It was bad enough with our other cars that acted like snow plows a few weeks ago the mk6 would have snapped its bumper its so much lower  and yours been an R is lower still

Sorry to hear about this as it is most annoying, but on a cheekier note, you might not have had this happen with a higher riding GTI.

I have had so many bumper incidences, I am a fine one to talk. :embarassed:

Just imagine if I had an R. It would be a wreck by now! :embarassed:

It's only a tiny little mark, so I'm not going to worry about it.
I'll need to call in past my dealer and see if I can pick up a reflex silver touch up pen.

Perhaps a few bags of cement in the boot would raise up the front of the R and give more grip to the rear wheels.

I wouldn't get very many in my tiny 4WD boot

That was a nearly a bad crib from Nosh Wash.

He got the idea from Ben Oliver in Car magazine who put a few concrete slabs in the boot to sort out the hard ride of their long termer R with 19" wheels, as he did not spec the car with with ACC.

I wish the R had a bigger boot. I wish a lot of things.

Are you still stuck indoors?

I've been putting bags of sand in my fiancee's BMW boot for a couple of years now to try and help it in the snow.  It does actually make a big difference, but generally her car sits in the car park at the first sign of snow!

The boot in the R isn't that much smaller... I was being facetious!
