Carbon Grey is preference, but a cracking Black metallic has been offered.

Metallic Black looks pretty good. Worries it might show up dirt, whereas Carbon Grey looks like it might cope better.

Does the metallic black scratch easy, or is that the non-metallics that are prone to that?

Grey is easy to live with, I love black and dark blue metallics but not on my daily driver.

Steel Grey is pretty nice, especially on the R. Don't see many Steel Grey GTi's.

Just an idea, but would some of you guys mind adding your photos to the sticky thread as theres not many in it at present and it may help future members.

Cheers mate - New Years Resolution #1 - enroll myself on a digital photography/ IT web nightclass!

I went back to black after my Steel Grey Mk5 GTI.  Not sure how easy it will be to keep clean though.  First impressions - managed to wash it yesterday for the first time and it really shows any droplet water marks that you might have missed after drying.
