Creamy substance on Oil filler cap

I have noticed that there is a creamy substance on my oil filler cap when topping up the oil on my 2006 Mk5 Golf Gti. My head gasket isn't going is it? Its only done 58k and had a new cambelt at 54k. Please help!

Could be a bit of condensation. Do you do a lot of short journeys?
Take it for a cross country blast to clear out the cobwebs

Take rhyso's advice mate. Just check the engine cooling water expansion bottle for any signs of oil, if there's none, she just needs a good blast on the b roads for a few miles
When was it's last oil change and also what service regime is your car on? Long life or time and distance?

This was covered a fair bit last winter & it does seem to be down to cold weather & short journeys,my old GTI did the same.

Just had a new Coolant expansion bottle and coolant is fresh and clean.
Last Oil change was March, and I check the oil level once a month. It was on Long life servicing until I purchased the car in March and now its on time and distance.
Cheers guys

Sounds like an Italian Tune Up is required.
