problem number 3

ok i just been outside to go for petrol
and i started it and its chuggin exhaust is poppin again
so i drove down road a bit n it chugged then went normal for a second then chugged again
what could this be as I am not goin to put another head on if thats knackered again
plus i have not been drivin it hard since it was fixed :cry:

when the gasket went did it overheat?. if so did you check the head wasnt warped?

never overheated just burnt all the oil away I am givin up if its the head again seems like im wastin my time
ill just save up for a vr6 lump but then again i want to go to newark in april

Right I been back outside n it started up str8 away no problems was'nt chuggin no more all the power is back?

any1 got any clues wot it cud be damp or out dont like panicin thought i was gonna hav to fork out
for another head or summat

my car did the chuggin thing again this mornin so i carried on drivin n after a minute or so it sorted itself out
could it be fuel i cant show any1 what it is because its fixed by the time i get to a garage

is it firing on all 4?

have you changed the dizzy and the roter arm? (cheap to do)

Put a plug in each lead and then earth the plug. that'll verify the spark is working and the leads aren't faulty. careful not to shock yourself though!

when was the last time you changed the fuel filter or put some injector cleaner through? could be a block, but after a while it blows through. then blocks again when it's not running for a long time.

just some ideas.

ive never changed the dizzy or rotor arm

its got new plugs n leads few weeks ago

never changed fuel filter
so i will give them a bash
