Though this is an attractive enhancement, I personally would not bother as there are the risks I mentioned earlier.

It does give the car that premium effect/look IMO. A good style and safety enhancement. It is something you will notice/see every time you drive it, which makes it worthwhile. Very, very nice. I really do like it.

More money.

I need to see him once the weather improves for a couple of things I want done.
Wonderful person with a lovely, adorable family.

Thank you Asker and Amanda hope you had a wonderful xmas?

Regards the lights I'm still ironing some stuff out with them, Basically I wired them into the front footwell lights but since doing another install for another member I now have specifics to do them how VW would have done them,  The problem with early golfs like mine is they never had an actual switched live in the rear doors,  so to sort that out on mine there is a switched earth in the rear locks for the door pins.  I then take a permanent live from the door controller.

On newer golfs like late 06 to current there is an actual pin out on the rear door controllers for the door lights,  for these I can make looms up and do a quick install,  I also have the latest Elsawin so the removal of door cards will be fine with no snapped clips.

Cheers

Darren

Brilliant. Count me in.

I'll build up a list of things and we can make a day of it as we usually do. Just wait for better weather.
