ok cheers is check em out, if it is the rear bushes gone whats it likely to cost me with parts and labour at a local garage?

if they have the special fitting tool then £200...if not then it's possibly a much longer job and around £300 (thats ooop north prices b.t.w)

£200?

We had a 6N Polo done and cleaned up in three hours. Think my boss charged £99 + VAT.

Burned and cut the bushes out too.

Where all my moneys went.

Internet prices always seem cheaper than real life.
Here down south, i doubt you could get it done for less than £250.

I'm South East London blaad.

Perhaps 6N's are easier.  :undecided:

I know the golf needs the brakes detaching and the full axle dropping for access (unless your lucky!) and also the abs is in the way on 1 side making no room to remove the large bolt

Autodata gives 2 hours for removing the axle.
But that is on a new car, chances are something if not everything will be completely seized.

Yeah we got the beam right off as the gas torch wouldn't reach.

Spose there was two of us on it, fair enough.
