020 02a ?? sorry wats the diff ??

Gearboxes - one is cable-cange, t'other is the more common and rubbish rod-change.

If you're looking for 'lightning fast' then do you want a big heap of BHP or are you OK to lose a lot of weight?

A cat can be skinned in more than one way.

VR6 or ABF will be easier than a 1.8T
Just because you're offended doesn't make you right.

to be honest im way confused now.

if i want lightening quick what is the best way to go? say 300bhp?

i will be stripping the car right down so weight wont be an issue.

and what sort of money will i be looking at to do this if I already have a solid mk2 (i dont as yet but will have!)

cheers
carl

1.8t but then its more work. So really depends how much work your willing to do and also how big the budget is.

cheers for the reply,

im looking at spending around 1000 on the mk2, then prob around 3-4k on the conversion and all parts. hopefully i will be able to do it all myself so that should keep costs down.

Choose which ever but get a full car so you've got everything you need. Also research what fuelpump and that you need. I should say a 2litre mk3 16valve on bike carbs, and engine concentrated on and that'll be enough. Lsd for good measures though. Turbo is just another thing to go wrong.
