1st vr6 conversion....

or any coversion of any kind to be honest.

the plan in the new year is to get hold of a solid mk2 and drop a vr6 2.8 lump in 

The trouble is i have never attempted anything like this before.

its a little out of my comfort zone so any tips would be great.

The main thing i need to know is.....obviously the engine will be changed to the vr6 but is there anything that i MUST change too? eg peddle box???

Ihave done some research reading through various threads on her but I could really do with a list comprision of everything i will need before starting, so if there are any volunteers to put that together that would be amazin

really excited about getting this going now.

I was under the impression the vr6 would be the better of the two. I really have no problem putting a 2.0 16v into it but didnt think this would be a quick as the vr6?? I want this car to be lightening quick...

My mate did the 2ltre conversion. What he said he wished he did was have a full mk3 toget everything off. Eg brakes, pedal box looms. If you have it all you can swap it all. Also you have to cut where the gear selector goes in to get it to fix. Search for someone who has done the conversion. But I'd advise getting the full car as it will cost less all in.

Don't bother fitting the VR then, go for a 1.8t with mods.

God yes. ABF(16v) is plug and play if you use 020 which (i think) bolts up and your car is 90 spec then again so is vr6? , 02a is a bit of work but alot stronger
