No point in washing with all this salt.

By the way does anyone know of a way of keeping the windscreen clear of the dry salt, I've used 4 litres of screenwash over the last few days.
Is it maybe time for new wipers? (Only 14 months old, fine when its wet but the dry salt needs clearing every few minutes)??

Martin, look at it this way: the last few days you have been able to give your wife more attention. She must be quite jealous now that the white witch is back.

I could go 50 / 50 and shag the mrs in the car

Seriously, my dear dear, get yourself some winter wellies. You'll still need winter wonders with the R. Don't waste your money on an R. Get a thingy extension with excessive pubic hair (your idea). That way, you'll have no problem in winter weather and you and I will be together for a bit longer.

bad news....... i think the lock on the driver's door is actually seized or something, as no matter how hard i'm trying the door just doesn't budge. the other 3 doors open fine with a little encouragement and the boot as well after spraying a load of deicer on the VW badge.

the top of the door seems to flex enough when pulling it and the bottom doesn't look stuck either. i can't expect a bit of ice would stop me opening the door if i'm pushing from the inside quite hard.

i removed the little cover over the keyhole next to the driver's door handle and tried the key, it wouldn't turn. after some heating up with a hairdryer i tried it and it did begin to turn. however i accidentally used it to unlock and EVERYTHING started opening, all the windows started to open! FFFFFFFFFUUUUUUUUU they are all iced up! one opened a little bit, another about half way and another 2 opened all the way. thankfully they all seem to close after crawling into the driver's seat using the switches.

door still doesn't open though even after using the key. i think she probably has to go to the stealer to have the locks looked at.

at least it's probably not going to be as easy to nick........
