During the heavy snowfall last week i had to abandon mine at the top of my street. Even the main roads got so bad i ended up getting the train in and out of the city all week.

Ended up the car sat for just over a week. It's still freezing up here but at least the main roads are passable.

I have 4 winters on mine, but even I had a problem on some black ice on a hill today, I had to gently slide her across to the verge and gain some traction on the earth and then I was able to get going.  They're fine on snow but ice does pose a bit of a problem.

Whereabouts in West Sussex are you, MAW73?

I used to live in Southwater.  I do remember the locals weren't very used to snow.

Amen sister! God bless 4x4 and I'm glad to hear the D3s are good in the snow as it's between that and an older Q7 to replace the warrior for child and dog transpiration duties!

And for the OP, I feel for you chap, it was bad enough last year that I had to abandon my van innthe snow but one of my cars, that would suck! But you just gotta say f**k it at the end of the day, these things are at times unavoidable

Left mine in local Pub car park last night and of course walked home - might just have to persuade my wife that I need to go and check up at lunch time to make sure all OK. Luckily its a lovely 5 min stoll in the snow.

They are a very capable and useful vehicle, this is my 3rd one, we had 6 inches of snowfall last night and I took the D3 out for a few hours of snow fun, thery're unstoppable, pulled a few stuck cars out too :-)
