No.... I would get an  R32 because its slower and heavier than both

Oh really?

I see what you done there

Been there done the argument. the R32 is quicker than a gti and ed30 fact. you both drive inferior golf's... deal with it. i have

What fact? In what test? 0-40mph?
R32 would be quicker than a standard GTI (just) once rolling. But I very much doubt it will be the same result against the ED30.  Better power/weight, less transmission losses, simple physics my friend..
Out of interest, how does your Mk6 compare with your old R32 in a straight line, both when stock and mapped?

R32 is just having a laugh.
The R32 was always the slowest of the three, R32, ED3o or bluefinned GTI.
Too heavy at the front, poor handling, only good for traffic lights, not corners.
Currently digging a bunker.

You really dont need any help making an idiot of yourself do you nosher

TG lap times

ED30 time was 1.32.6
standard GTI  1.33.7

R32.... drum roll please......

130.04

well over 3 sec on a std gti and over 2 secs on an ED30 (0.4 sec slower than an Scooby STI)

So despite what many GTI/ED30 owners will tell you... the R32 is the quickest mk5 bar none. And as a remapped GTI owner I will admit that the GTI remapped may well be quicker on a straight road (because all roads are straight of course). But throw a few corners in and the R32 will murder the GTI, its as simple as that. Power is nothing without control.

It's official, the R32 is quickest, Top Gear says so....  I've just conducted a similar test with my Scaletric and you're right, the R32 is quicker (especially in the corners)..

Generally i have found those people who buy four wheel driven cars(not 4x4's) lack in the driving skills department and have to have the help from the extra traction

3 Cars, 1 set distance and a stopwatch. its all so complicated.

the top test track is only a small track so over a 70 lap race the GTI & ED30 would get lapped twice.

hows that for HAHA!!

p.s. both cars were driven by the stig, and as we know ben collins is a pretty good driver having beaten Barrichellos round the same track.

.... on different days in different conditions with a added pinch of Top Gear controvesy..  Anyway, I think most were reffering to out right performance as apposed to round a track tbh..
