It is much easier to take the bumpers off to do it. Much less swearing required. Also start at the ends and work your way into the middle.

As for the rear towing eye not lining up, that just how they are. The 4Mo rear floor plan is different and the tow eye is just in a different place. You are trying to fit a part to a car that it was not intended for, so unfortunately have to put up with a little compromise.
Red Mk6 gone replaced with a white Mk7 which has gone too. Green Mk2 here to stay.

The valances aren't a perfect fit, never have been, but they do go on and look about right. The towing eye is in a different place but you dont have to cut it off. You do have to cut off some of the metal from the bracket that the underside of the original valance bolts to (the one closest the exhaust) or it'll hit the tailpipes. Couple of cable ties on the rear hanger will centre the exhaust properly if you want the quickest fix.

The pic of your front valance is exactly how mine was until I sold it on. I tried everything and couldn't get it to fit properly. So I gave up and I'#m waiting for an anni or votex one to pop up.

Well i fitted my rear valance today and it fitted perfectly the two lower tabs your supposed to screw into when removing my old valance the bolts sheered so i couldn't re-use the tabs so with a hammer i knocked the tabs down and under and on passenger side it moved the sheet metal so it know longer knocks

and the last tab either side i trimmed a tiny bit of plastic on the inside of the valance and now they are clipped in and fit a treat..

Yeah tech mines was a bummer to fit also, i thought it was weird how the tow ring didnt line up but i now realise the 4mo is a different layout underneath. Funny reading this as im just after fitting a 4mo front valance today after 4 weeks of waiting on VW to get me it! haha. First time a valance has lined up not too badly for me lol.

yer to get the sdes to line up you have to trim the inside of the valance a tad then they fit a treat...
